The safety of people, pets and the environment is the Alley's Pest Control commitment. For this reason, whenever possible, we use Integrated Pest Management (IPM) for home, office, commercial, industrial and institutional properties. IPM is a consumer and environmentally friendly pest control program that combines the use of non-chemical methods with the prudent and minimal use of pesticides. IPM is based upon sharing the responsibility for pest control between Alley's Pest Control and the owner, occupant or manager of the property being serviced. IPM procedures include: Pro-Active Inspections Consumer Pest Control Education Pest Monitoring Devices Baits Replace Pesticide Sprays Exclusion Screening, Caulk or Foam IGR's-Insect Growth Regulators Improved Trash & Garbage Disposal Glueboards/Tin Cats Replace Rodenticides Crack & Crevice Residuals Non-Chemical Powders The other defining characteristic of IPM is its reliance on a combination of different pest control tactics: Cultural and sanitation controls (e.g., plant variety selection, cleanliness, good horticultural practices), physical/mechanical control (e.g., trapping, barriers to pests, hand removal, etc.), biological controls, and pesticides. Biological control is an integral part of a well-balanced IPM program, along with the other tactics. Alley's Pest Control, Inc. professionals will thoroughly inspect, accurately identify and fully explain the nature and extent of your pest problem. Choice of corrective measures and control options will then be based on your specific site and situation. Sticky traps, pheromone traps, flea and flytraps, rodent traps and other options offer an effective arsenal against a variety of pests.
